Tangokuningas 2017 Teijo Lindström

In July 2017 the singer Teijo Lindström gained the 1st place in the men's final in The Tangomarkkinat singing competition and after that he also gained the title Tangokuningas (transl. the Tango King). The Tangomarkkinat is the world's oldest tango festival. It is held early every July in Seinäjoki, Finland. As well as competitions to find the country's best tango singers, composers, and dancers, the festival also features public dancing to live music provided by the best Finnish entertainers. The tango singing competition is open to both men and women and the Tango King and Queen, new tango royals, are chosen annualy.

Visual Artist Paula Saraste

Paula Saraste (b. 1981) is a visual artist and filmmaker living and working in Helsinki and Berlin. Her main artistic tools are digital film, photography and performance. She received her MA degree from University of Helsinki in 2007 and her MfA Degree from the Finnish Academy of Fine Arts in 2016. She has taken part in several exhibitions in Finland and abroad, most recently Haunt at gallery HilbertRaum in Berlin 2018.
